Composition
A Laotian oud-centered parfum from Xerjoff's Oud Stars collection, built on a Bulgarian rose and lavender heart. One of the house's most celebrated oud fragrances, composed by Chris Maurice.
This opens like walking into an old perfumer's cabinet — dry cedar, a flicker of cinnamon, lavender keeping everything clean. Then the oud arrives, deep and animalic, but never screechy; the Bulgarian rose softens it into something regal, like rose jam served on dark wood. The dry-down is a warm amber-vanilla skin scent that lingers for hours. Best worn in winter evenings or air-conditioned formal settings; in Indian summer heat it will be too much. Not for beginners — oud lovers only.
