Composition
Zeste Mandarine Pamplemousse is a citrus eau de toilette for women and men by Olivier Creed, launched in 1975 as his first fragrance creation. It opens with grapefruit, bergamot and mandarin orange, reveals white flowers in the heart, and settles into an ambergris base.
To me this is sunrise squeezed into a glass. Grapefruit, bergamot and mandarin explode, juicy, bitter, sparkling, the most honest citrus opening Creed ever made. It smells like peeling all three fruits at once over a kitchen sink, juice running down your wrists. White flowers soften the middle for a moment, then ambergris leaves just a salty warmth on the skin. It does not try to be deep; it tries to be bright, and it succeeds completely. This is the perfume equivalent of a perfect summer morning, gone too soon, remembered all day. Beginner-friendly.
