Composition
A bold oriental-woody eau de parfum from Paris Corner's Emir line. Cinnamon, saffron, oud, green apple, white pear, incense and nutmeg open the scent, patchouli and jasmine form the heart, and tobacco, guaiac wood, amber, Madagascar vanilla, vetiver, sandalwood and white musk settle the base.
To me this smells like a hookah lounge in an old haveli, the kind with low divans and no windows. Apple and pear tobacco smoke curls through the room, sweet and thick; cinnamon and saffron dust the air like the embers of the coal. Underneath, oud — dark, animalic, unmistakable — hums like a bass note you feel in your chest. Incense sticks burn in a corner, jasmine garlands wilt in the heat, and vanilla-amber settles over everything like a heavy brocade curtain. It's decadent to the point of dizziness. One breath is a story; three breaths is a whole night you won't remember clearly. Not for beginners — beginners stay away.
