Composition
Spicebomb by Viktor & Rolf (2012) is the woody-spicy masculine counterpart to Flowerbomb, composed by Olivier Polge and housed in a hand-grenade bottle by Fabien Baron. An icy accord of bergamot, grapefruit, elemi and pink pepper collides with a fiery heart of cinnamon, saffron and paprika over tobacco, leather and vetiver. It was the design duo's second men's fragrance after Antidote.
Spicebomb lives up to its grenade bottle — an explosion of icy citrus and pink pepper up top, then smouldering cinnamon, saffron and paprika over a rugged tobacco-leather base. It's loud, extroverted and unashamedly seductive, a winter-evening powerhouse. For beginners: this is one of the safest blind-buy compliments-magnets in designer men's perfumery — bold, but so well-blended it never smells harsh.
