Composition
Flowerbomb by Viktor & Rolf (2005) is the iconic oriental-floral Eau de Parfum by Olivier Polge, Carlos Benaïm, Domitille Michalon Bertier and Dominique Ropion that redefined 2000s perfumery. Tea, bergamot and osmanthus open into an explosive heart of orchid, jasmine, rose, freesia and African orange flower over patchouli, musk and vanilla. The diamond-grenade bottle by Fabien Baron won a FiFi award for its advertising campaign.
Flowerbomb is a landmark — the fragrance that taught a generation what a statement floral could be. A tidal wave of jasmine, rose, orchid and freesia over warm patchouli and vanilla: opulent, sweet, powdery, and absolutely unmistakable. It's maximalism in a diamond-grenade bottle. For beginners: a classic to know, but spray with restraint — this one projects like nothing else, and winter evenings suit it far better than Indian summer.
