Versus Uomo (1991), the legendary masculine counterpart to Versus Donna, a fresh woody oriental. It opens with lavender, lime, lemon, bergamot, peach, petitgrain, mandarin and green notes, moves into a heart of Brazilian rosewood, balsam fir, carnation, jasmine, coriander and orris root, and settles on a warm base of amber, vanilla, sandalwood, musk, cedar, tonka bean and benzoin.
Scent story
This smells like 1991 in the best possible way — bold, fresh, and completely confident. Lavender, lime, lemon, bergamot and petitgrain open in a citrus-aromatic rush, peach and green notes adding a juicy brightness, like the opening credits of a great film. Brazilian rosewood, balsam fir, carnation and jasmine give the heart a warm, spicy depth, orris powdering it soft, before amber, vanilla, sandalwood, musk and tonka melt into a golden, comforting base.
