Composition
Vanille Galante is the 2009 Hermessence eau de toilette by Jean-Claude Ellena, a unisex lily-vanilla. Green notes, spices and ylang-ylang open over lily and amyl salicylate, with vanilla and sandalwood in the base. Now discontinued.
Vanille Galante is Ellena's most romantic Hermessence — vanilla as a love letter, not a dessert. Lily gives the heart a cool, moonlit purity, while the vanilla-sandalwood base is warm and enveloping without ever turning foody. It is intimate and tender, a skin-scent for quiet moments. Discontinued and much missed, it now lives in the world of collectors and decanters. Beginners who love soft vanillas would adore it — if they can find it.
