Composition
Dupe of Tom Ford Velvet Orchid.
Velvet Orchid is Black Orchid's softer sister — rum and honey warming the orchid, jasmine and a velvety floral accord, vanilla and sandalwood underneath. To me it smells like a jazz club with velvet seats: low golden light, a singer's voice curling through cigarette smoke, everything plush and warm. It keeps the opulence but trades the darkness for comfort — rich, floral, enveloping like a cashmere wrap. The scent of a woman who enters quietly and is remembered loudly. Beginners can enjoy this one — a plush, golden floral that flatters.
