Composition
Guerlain's 2011 Eau de Parfum for women by Thierry Wasser, a luminous younger sister of the legendary Shalimar ('My First Shalimar'). Bergamot, orange and green notes open over iris, patchouli, vetiver, rose and jasmine, drying down to vanilla, caramel, tonka bean and musk.
Zesty bergamot and orange sparkle over fresh green notes — bright, youthful, inviting. The heart is a soft floral-woody embrace: powdery iris, rose and jasmine wrapped in earthy patchouli and vetiver. The base turns gourmand: creamy vanilla, luscious caramel and tonka bean with soft musk, like cashmere on bare skin. A lovely Indian winter and festive-evening scent; the citrus-green opening keeps it from feeling too heavy. Quite beginner-friendly — sweeter and easier to wear than the original Shalimar, yet unmistakably Guerlain.
