Composition
A rich, assertive patchouli soliflore. Pink pepper and carrot open over a heart of coffee, vetiver and jasmine, with patchouli leaves soaked against sandalwood, saffron and vanilla-amber warmth in the base.
To me this smells like walking into a spice garden in Kerala right after the monsoon breaks — the soil is black and breathing, and someone has pulled carrots straight from the wet earth nearby. Pink pepper snaps in the air like tiny fireworks, and there's a cup of strong filter coffee steaming on a wooden table. Underneath it all, the patchouli leaf itself: dark, green, loamy, almost chocolatey, wrapped in jasmine and sandalwood with saffron glowing at the edges. It is beautiful, but it is unapologetically earthy — this is dirt and leaf and root, not petals. Not for beginners — beginners stay away.
