Composition
Lilac Loveby Amouageis a fragrance for women.Lilac Lovewas launched in 2016. Lilac Love was created by Nathalie Lorson and Elise Benat. Top notes are Heliotrope, Lilac, Gardenia, Jasmine, Peony and Rose; middle notes are Cacao, Tonka Bean and Orris; base notes are Vanilla, Sandalwood and Patchouli.
To me this smells like a hill-station garden in May — Ooty, maybe, or Coonoor — when the lilacs are out and the whole town smells like a powder compact left open in the sun. Wave after wave of soft purple flowers: lilac, heliotrope, peony, all blurred together like a watercolor. Then the cacao and tonka melt through underneath, and suddenly it is not just flowers anymore — it is flowers with hot chocolate, the most comforting combination I can think of. Powdery, sweet, and completely without edge. Easy to love, even for beginners.
