Composition
Levant is a unisex eau de parfum from Ormonde Jayne's La Route de Soie collection, launched in 2020. Rooted by the innocence of peony, the fragrance blossoms into lily with orange blossom and jasmine, with top notes of bergamot, mandarin, tangelo and rose petals. The base rests on cedarwood, amber and musk. Described by the house as a bottle of happiness.
This smells like a Silk Road morning — the Levant in a bottle, and Geza Schoen knew exactly what he was doing. Bergamot, mandarin, tangelo, and rose open juicy and bright, like a bazaar of citrus and flowers, and then the heart blooms: lily-of-the-valley, peony, orange blossom, jasmine — innocent and lush at once, like a garden behind a stone wall. Cedar, amber, and musk in the base give it a warm, polished depth. It is a floral done the Ormonde Jayne way: expensive, radiant, and quietly perfect. The kind of scent that makes an ordinary Tuesday feel well-travelled. Beginner-friendly.
