Composition
La Petite Robe Noire Couture is a feminine eau de parfum from Guerlain, launched in 2014. It opens with Raspberry and Bergamot. The heart reveals Rose settling into a base of Patchouli, Tonka Bean, Vetiver and Moss. Its character is defined by Fruity, Sweet and Rose accords.
To me this smells like the little black dress itself — raspberry dark and juicy in the first breath, bergamot sparkling like champagne. Then the rose arrives, velvety and just a little dangerous, patchouli darkening it like eyeliner. Tonka, vetiver, and moss at the base are warm skin and dark earth — the feeling of midnight in Paris. It is the most wearable version of the classic: sweet, chic, and a little bit bad. Raspberry's dark juiciness never fully leaves, staining everything it touches. Beginner-friendly.
