Composition
The freshness of kumquat and vetiver revealing sweet woody notes, by Pierre Montale: grapefruit, spices and bergamot open into floral notes, patchouli and amber, over cedar, vetiver, sandalwood and white musk.
To me this smells like splitting a grapefruit on a wooden table in a citrus grove — the juice sharp and bright, bergamot sparkling, spices crackling in the warm air like a market nearby. It's fresh with a pulse. Floral notes drift through, patchouli and amber adding a warm earthy depth, and then the woods take over: cedar, vetiver, sandalwood — dry, smooth, sun-baked — over clean white musk. Woody, citrusy, easy. The kind of scent that works in a boardroom and on a beach. No drama, all competence. Beginner-friendly.
