To me this smells like a flower market at dawn — Peony, fresh and rosy, bright citrus and mandarin, sweet and juicy dewy and luminous in the cool air. After the bright opening, Osmanthus, velvety fruity sweetness, rose, lush and velvety and mimosa, powdery golden fluff take over, and everything grows warmer and more rounded. It feels like the lights dimming to a golden glow. The woody character never leaves — it is the quiet backbone of the scent. It all settles onto Pink pepper, rosy and sparkling, sandalwood, creamy and smooth and patchouli, dark and earthy-sweet, a base that feels like the last warm hour of the evening.
