Composition
An oriental-woody eau de parfum from Paris Corner's Emir Identity series. Litchi, raspberry and saffron open bright and fruity, a heart of Turkish rose, red berries, red currant, olibanum and violet follows, and agarwood, leather, amber, patchouli and sandalwood ground the base.
To me this smells like a Mughal fruit orchard at midnight during a storm. Litchi and raspberry bursting sweet and red, red currant sharp as lightning, saffron glowing like embers in the dark — and then the oud rolls in like thunder, deep and animalic, with leather cracking underneath like a saddle. Turkish rose tries to keep things civilized; it only half succeeds. Olibanum smoke, violet powder, amber and patchouli swirl into something opulent and slightly dangerous. This is a feast and a battlefield at once — magnificent, but not for the faint of wrist. Not for beginners — beginners stay away.
