Composition
Launched in 2010 as the sport flanker of Gucci by Gucci Pour Homme. Cypress, mandarin orange and grapefruit open over fig, juniper berries and cardamom, with vetiver, patchouli and ambrette in the base. A fresh, green aromatic for active wear.
To me this is a tennis court at 8am — cypress and mandarin and grapefruit, green and bright, then fig and juniper berries and cardamom, like a gin and tonic with breakfast. The base is vetiver and patchouli and ambrette musk, clean and sporty, the smell of a white polo and a good backhand. It is the sport fragrance for men who actually play. Crisp, green, effortless. Ambrette musk softens the sport-fresh edges like worn cotton. Fig adds a milky green sweetness to the sport-fresh air. Beginner-friendly.
