Composition
Gran Ballo, from Xerjoff's Casamorati 1888 collection, is a fruity-gourmand eau de parfum for women. It opens with wild berries and mandarin, reveals jasmine sambac and gardenia in the heart, and settles into vanilla, sandalwood, caramel and amber.
To me this smells like the dessert table at a grand ball — crystal, candlelight, and everything sweet you have ever wanted. Wild berries and mandarin open juicy and sparkling, like the first toast of the evening. It is celebration in a glass. Jasmine sambac and gardenia bloom into the heart, white flowers going creamy and opulent in the candlelight, and vanilla, sandalwood, caramel and amber melt into the base — rich, golden, and endlessly indulgent, like the last dance that never quite ends. It smells like a night you will talk about for years. Beginner-friendly.
