Composition
An oriental floral celebration of blossoming flowers: tuberose, red pepper and clove open into sandalwood and agarwood (oud), over amber and ambergris — floral, woody, spicy and creamy.
To me this is a flower market on fire. Tuberose opens huge and creamy, then red pepper and clove ignite it, spicy and almost violent, heat licking at the tuber's creamy edges. Sandalwood and agarwood in the heart, amber and ambergris in the base, make it thick, resinous, golden-dark. The oud turns the florals feral. It is called Gold Flowers, and it earns the name, but this is molten gold, not jewelry. Spicy, woody, intense. Not for beginners — beginners stay away.
