Top notes are Pink Pepper, Olibanum, Saffron, Nutmeg, Cardamom, Caraway, Myrtle and Mace; middle notes are Myrrh and Geranium; base notes are Incense, Agarwood (Oud), Leather, Castoreum, Patchouli, Cedar, Sandalowood, Styrax and Musk.
Scent story
To me this smells like a spice caravan making camp in the Thar at dusk — camels groaning, sacks of cardamom and saffron being unloaded, and someone throwing frankincense onto the cookfire so the whole camp smells of smoke and resin. The opening is a beautiful chaos of spices, almost overwhelming, and then the oud and leather take over like night falling. There is castoreum in the base, that dark animalic growl, and it never lets you forget this is a wild thing wearing expensive clothes. Magnificent, and not remotely polite. Not for beginners — beginners stay away.
