Composition
A smoky oud-and-vanilla eau de parfum from Paris Corner's Emir line. Agarwood, saffron, cardamom and black pepper open the scent, soft floral notes form the heart, and Madagascar vanilla with guaiac wood and sandalwood grounds the base.
To me this smells like oud smoke drifting through a patisserie — two worlds that should clash but instead fall into each other's arms. Agarwood opens dark and resinous, cut with saffron and cardamom and a crack of black pepper, like walking into a majlis where the bakhoor has just been lit. It is rich, it is commanding, it means business. But then the vanilla arrives — Madagascar vanilla, deep and creamy — and everything softens into something almost edible, with guaiac wood and sandalwood underneath like warm toast. The oud never leaves, it just learns to behave, purring under all that sweetness. Bold but welcoming, like a host who looks intimidating and then feeds you dessert. Beginner-friendly.
