Composition
Eau Sauvageby Dioris a Citrus Aromatic fragrance for men.Eau Sauvagewas launched in 1966. The nose behind this fragrance is Edmond Roudnitska. Top notes are Lemon, Bergamot, Basil, Rosemary, Caraway and Fruity Notes; middle notes are Jasmine, Coriander, Carnation, Patchouli, Orris Root, Sandalwood, Rose, Lavender and Hedione; base notes are Oakmoss, Vetiver, Musk and Amber.
Calabrian bergamot and grapefruit explode green and electric, like a storm rolling over a citrus grove. Petitgrain and galbanum keep it sharp and leafy, pink pepper sparks at the edges, and the vetiver base is all damp earth and roots. It smells wilder than the original — less barbershop, more open field after rain. To me this is citrus with its sleeves rolled up, ready for a hot day. Most people will like this without thinking twice.
