Composition
Doblis is a feminine eau de toilette from Hermès, launched in 1955. It opens with Chamomile, Coriander and Thyme. The heart reveals Rose and Jasmine settling into a base of Leather, Oakmoss, Musk and Sandalwood. Its character is defined by Rose, Leather and Mossy accords.
This smells like an apothecary's back room. Chamomile, coriander and thyme — herbs drying in bundles from the ceiling — then rose and jasmine bloom through the green like flowers pressed in an old book. And underneath: leather, dark and worn, with oakmoss and sandalwood grounding everything in shadow. It is herbal, leathery, and deeply strange. A perfume for people who read old books. The musk is the soft landing — clean, warm, almost tender — under all that herb and leather. It is strange, but it is strange in a way you want to understand. Not for beginners — beginners stay away.
