The first thing that hits me is lipstick — not the glossy kind, the old waxy kind from my grandmother's vanity drawer, all powder and iris. Then cacao creeps in, dark and bitter like cocoa husk, and underneath there's leather worn smooth like the seat of a vintage car. This is Dior Homme before it learned to smile. To me it smells like a tailor's shop at closing time, chalk dust on wool and something quietly decadent breathing in the dark. Not for beginners — beginners stay away.
