To me this smells like standing on a Himalayan ridge in the seconds after lightning has struck the juniper tree next to you. The air is electric — cardamom and bergamot crackling like static, pink pepper sparking — and then the resins arrive: frankincense and myrrh, ancient and smoky, rising off the scorched bark like the mountain itself is breathing. Underneath it all, vanilla and cedar hold steady, warm and calm, like the decision has already been made and now there is only the aftermath.
