Composition
Cool Water Eau de Toilette by Davidoff, launched in 1996. A floral aquatic fragrance for women. It opens with melon, lotus, lemon, pineapple, calone, quince, lily and black currant, has a heart of lotus, water lily, lily of the valley, jasmine, honey, hawthorn and rose, and a base of musk, vetiver, violet root, sandalwood, raspberry, peach, blackberry and vanilla.
To me this smells like a water garden at noon. Melon and pineapple splash first, lotus and water lily cool and green, that calone sea-breeze note like wet stone underfoot. The heart is a whole pond of white flowers — jasmine, lily of the valley, rose — with honey warming the edges like sun on water. It dries down soft and fruity-musk, raspberry and peach fading into clean skin and sandalwood. Pure, bright, endlessly wearable. Easy to love, even for beginners.
