Cool Water Eau de Toilette by Davidoff, launched in 1988. An aromatic aquatic fragrance for men. It opens with sea water, mint, lavender, coriander and rosemary, moves through jasmine, neroli, geranium and sandalwood, and rests on a base of musk, oakmoss, cedar, amber and tobacco.
Scent story
To me this smells like jumping off a cliff into the sea and never quite drying off. Sea water and mint crash first, lavender and rosemary wild and green like coastal scrub. The heart is all white flowers on salt air — jasmine, neroli, geranium — before oakmoss and cedar pull it into darker, deeper water. That whisper of tobacco at the base is the campfire on the beach afterwards. The original blue, and still the freshest thing in the room. An easy recommendation for most noses.
