Byzantine Amber (2023) is the third 'Essentials' fragrance, her interpretation of the amber accord. Bergamot and cinnamon open it; geranium forms the heart; benzoin, labdanum, frankincense, leather, styrax and ambergris ground the base.
Scent story
Byzantine Amber is decadence in a bottle: cinnamon and pulpy geranium over a dark, leathery amber resin base, with the dry minerality of ambergris and styrax. It shimmers gold but keeps a shadowed, theatrical edge, like a civilization at its most splendid and most corrupt. Beginners: not a starter -- beastly projection and 12-hour wear.
