Composition
From the 2009 Brown Collection: the green, woody heart of violet leaves combines the fruity freshness of Italian bergamot, mandarin leaf and lime with the depth of Indonesian vetiver and Mysore sandalwood.
To me this smells like a walk through a monsoon garden after the rain — Italian bergamot, lime and mandarin leaf sparkling bright and green, juicy as cut fruit. The lime is sharp and green, like a lime leaf torn between your fingers. Violet leaf adds a cool, leafy depth in the middle, like shade under big trees, and Indonesian vetiver with Mysore sandalwood grounds it in damp earth and warm wood. Green, woody, fresh — nature, unfiltered. Simple and completely right. Beginner-friendly.
