Composition
Bois d'Arménie is a unisex eau de parfum from Guerlain, launched in 2006. It opens with Incense, Iris and Pink Pepper. The heart reveals Benzoin, Guaiac Wood and Coriander settling into a base of Copahu Balm, Patchouli and White Musk. Its character is defined by Amber, Woody and Balsamic accords.
This is an Armenian church at evening service — incense first, thick and resinous, iris rising powdery through the smoke like dust in colored light. Pink pepper adds a bright sparkle at the top, almost like bells. Benzoin, guaiac wood, and coriander build the wooden interior — old pews, carved screens — while copahu balm and patchouli deepen it into warm resin. White musk at the very end is like the cool stone floor under your feet. Sacred, woody, and quietly devastating. A masterpiece for those who can handle smoke. Not for beginners — beginners stay away.
