Scent story

To me this smells like a rose garden behind a mosque at dusk. Cypress opens dark and green — tall trees against a fading sky — with lemon cutting bright through the shade. Then the Bulgarian rose blooms, huge and velvety, with African geranium adding a green, almost minty edge that keeps it from ever getting jammy. And underneath, the oud: agarwood deep and resinous, musk softening it, cardamom spicing it like chai served after evening prayers. Sacred and sensual at once. The rose is the prayer; the oud is what the prayer is asking for. Not for beginners — beginners stay away.
