Composition
Hili is a unisex extrait de parfum from Widian, launched in 2018. It opens with Pink Pepper, Coriander, Bergamot and Cinnamon, reveals a heart of Tiare Flower, Ylang-Ylang, Tuberose and Jasmine, and settles into Coconut Milk, Vanilla, Sandalwood, Amber, Cedar, Patchouli and Tobacco Leaf. Its character is defined by white floral, sweet and coconut accords.
To me this smells like a beach shack in Goa that serves suspiciously good cocktails. Pink pepper and bergamot, bright and fizzy; tiare and ylang and tuberose and jasmine — a whole lei of white flowers — drenched in coconut milk. Cinnamon dusts the rim like spice on a rimmed glass. Tobacco leaf smoulders underneath, just a whisper, like someone smoking on the next table — it keeps the sweetness adult. Sandalwood and amber and vanilla warm the base like sand that hasn't cooled since noon. Tropical, creamy, a little dangerous. Beginner-friendly.
