Composition
Versus Time for Pleasure (2003), part of the four-scent Versus Time collection, in a pink transparent bottle. A juicy floral-fruity gourmand: blackberry, raspberry, blueberry and strawberry open bright and addictive, followed by apricot and peach in the heart. The base of vanilla and musk is soft, sweet and sensuous.
This smells like a berry farm in high summer, if the berry farm served dessert. Blackberry, raspberry, blueberry, and strawberry open in a full juicy chorus — bright, sweet, almost fizzy — and then apricot and peach arrive, soft and golden, like the fruit is ripening as you smell it. It is a gourmand, but a fresh one, all fruit and no cake. Vanilla and musk in the base make it creamy and soft, like the memory of ice cream. The pink bottle tells you everything: this is pleasure, uncomplicated and unapologetic. Pure, fruity joy. Beginner-friendly.
