Part of a trio of Versace Essence fragrances launched in 2000, Essence Emotional is a sweet Floral Green composition. Lily and bergamot open fresh, mango and ylang-ylang form a passionate fruity-floral heart, and vanilla, musk and cedar settle into a powdery, warm base. It came in an oval bottle similar to Blonde with the Medusa head.
Scent story
To me this smells like a love letter written in green ink. Lily and bergamot open fresh and dewy, and then the heart turns passionate: mango juicy and golden, ylang-ylang creamy and heady — a fruity-floral embrace. Vanilla, musk and cedar dry it down powdery and warm, like the letter pressed between the pages of a book. Part of the 2000 Essence trio, and the sweetest of them: romantic, a little nostalgic, and softly comforting. Sweet, soft, and quietly nostalgic — a keeper. Beginner-friendly.
