Tyger Tyger (2020) is a dramatic chypre extrait inspired by William Blake's 'The Tyger' — beauty and terror in 'fearful symmetry'. Honey opens it; narcotic flowers and peach jam form the heart; patchouli, sandalwood, oakmoss, oud, leather and heliotrope ground the base.
Tyger Tyger burns bright: golden honey and narcotic blooms over a dark, smoky base of oud, leather and oakmoss. It is sublime and scary at once — a post-apocalyptic ballgown. Beginners: the honey-floral opening is lovely, but the beastly base needs a test wear.
