Composition
Tuberoza is a white-floral extrait that opens with ylang-ylang, orange blossom, artemisia and sweet orange. Its heart features tuberose, gardenia, jasmine and marigold, drying down to musk, sandalwood, amber and vetiver.
To me this smells like the Dadar flower market at 5am, when the night's harvest arrives by the truckload. Tuberose leads — creamy, narcotic, gloriously overwhelming — with gardenia and jasmine tangling overhead and marigold adding its strange, green pungency underneath. Ylang-ylang pours its custardy sweetness over everything, and orange blossom lifts the edges. Musk and sandalwood settle it, warm as the chai stall on the corner. It's a white-floral monsoon — too much in the most wonderful way. Beginner-friendly.
