Composition
Burberry Touch for Men was launched in 2000, created by Jean-Pierre Bethouart. Violet leaf, artemisia and mandarin orange open over a heart of white pepper, cedar and nutmeg, with white musk, tonka bean and vetiver in the base. The scent is built on a fresh green-woody accord contrasted with warm musk.
To me this smells like the first rain on dry grass — violet leaf and artemisia green and electric in the opening, mandarin glinting through like sun behind clouds. White pepper and nutmeg keep it dry and crisp, never sweet. It settles into cedar and vetiver with white musk underneath, like a freshly pressed shirt and clean skin after a long walk. There is something quietly British about it — restrained, polite, and very hard to stop wearing. The tonka adds a whisper of sweetness, like tea with one sugar. Beginner-friendly.
