Composition
Shaghaf Oud Tonka is a 2023 unisex Eau de Parfum from Swiss Arabian, a limited edition in the Shaghaf line. It opens on a bold almond note over a heart of Tunisian orange blossom, cinnamon and Turkish rose, settling into tonka bean, vanilla and amberwood. Sweet, creamy and gourmand with above-average projection and longevity.
An almond bomb in the best way — the opening is pure marzipan, sweet and nutty, like badam barfi melting on the tongue. Cinnamon warms it up while orange blossom and rose keep it from turning into pure candy, adding a floral lift. The dry-down is creamy tonka and vanilla over smooth amberwood — cozy, rich, and long-lasting. It needs a few weeks of maceration to truly bloom, so don't judge the first spray. In Indian weather this shines October through February; summer wearers should go light. Beginners: safe if you like sweet scents, but the almond is intense — sample first if marzipan isn't your thing.
