Sedbury is a chypre-floral eau de parfum for women, launched in 2015 and named after a celebrated racehorse. It opens with clary sage, lavender, tangerine and bergamot, develops tuberose, jasmine and iris in the heart, and settles into benzoin, vanilla, ambergris, vetiver and patchouli.
Scent story
To me this smells like a wedding morning in the family — the women's room is full of tuberose gajras and jasmine strings, and someone's just opened a bottle of something powdery and expensive. Clary sage and lavender keep it fresh and herbal at first, tangerine and bergamot sparkling like the good mood in the room. Tuberose takes over in the heart: creamy, narcotic, unapologetically bridal, wrapped in jasmine and iris powder. It dries down to benzoin and vanilla — warm, golden, comforting — with ambergris giving it that expensive skin-glow. Soft, generous, romantic. The kind of scent that gets compliments from aunties. Beginner-friendly.
