Composition
Launched in 2008, Secret Obsession is a fresh spicy eau de parfum for women. The opening blends Nutmeg, Plum and Mace, with Tuberose and Jasmine at the heart. The dry-down rests on Sandalwood and Amber.
To me this smells like a secret you are thrilled to be keeping. Nutmeg, mace and plum open dark and spiced — like a locked door and the perfume of whoever just left the room — with rose glinting through like a red dress in dim light. It is intrigue, made wearable. Tuberose, jasmine, orchid, ylang-ylang and orange blossom bloom into the heart, white flowers gone wild after midnight, and sandalwood, amber, vanilla and cashmere wood settle underneath like silk sheets and low lamplight. It smells like desire with good manners — dangerous, but never reckless. Beginner-friendly.
