To me it smells like a Goan tavern on a December evening, where oak barrels of feni and rum are breathing in the back room and someone is roasting cinnamon and praline over a low fire. The booziness hits first — warm, golden, a little dangerous — then it softens into something edible and cosy, like the angels really did take their share and left the sweetest part for you.
