Composition
The 2008 male companion to Infusion d'Iris, created by Daniela Andrier and launched at the Milan ready-to-wear show. Infusion d'Homme is a Woody Aromatic where Tunisian neroli and mandarin orange open fresh, iris, vetiver, galbanum and cedar form the heart, and powdery notes, olibanum and benzoin settle the base. It came in sizes from 50 to 750 ml EDT.
To me this smells like a freshly laundered white kurta pulled from a steel almirah, pressed and faintly warm. Tunisian neroli and mandarin open like good citrus soap, then the iris settles in — cool talcum powder, expensive and calm. Underneath, vetiver and cedar dry it down like pencil shavings in a school desk, with olibanum and benzoin leaving the faintest trail of agarbatti smoke on the collar. It is the scent of a man who irons his own shirts and arrives ten minutes early. Beginner-friendly.
