Composition
Pasha de Cartier Edition Noire Sport is a woody aromatic fragrance for men launched in 2015. It opens with a fresh burst of citruses and watery notes, followed by a single heart note of sea water. The dry-down is woody and aromatic, built on cedar, sandalwood and amber.
To me this smells like the first monsoon rain hitting Marine Drive, when the sea turns grey-green and the whole promenade smells of wet concrete and salt. Cold citrus — like biting into a mausambi someone just peeled — rides the spray, and there's a clean watery rush that feels like diving into a pool with your shirt still on. As it dries, cedar and sandalwood come up like the wooden deck of a boat drying in the sun, with a low hum of amber underneath. It's sharp, sporty, gone by evening — but for those few hours you smell like weather. Beginner-friendly.
