Original Cologne (Pure White Cologne) is a citrus-aromatic eau de parfum for women and men by Olivier Creed, launched in 2011 as part of the Royal Exclusives line celebrating the house's 250th anniversary. It opens with grapefruit, lemon and Sicilian bergamot, develops pear, neroli and galbanum in the heart, and settles into rice, powdery notes, white musk and ambergris.
Scent story
To me this smells like the perfect white shirt. Grapefruit, lemon and Sicilian bergamot open in a citrus blast — sharp, clean, blindingly fresh. Then it softens into something almost powdery: pear juicy and pale, neroli white and calm, galbanum green at the edges. The base is where it gets interesting — rice, powdery notes, white musk — like fresh linen, like talcum, like the cleanest skin you have ever been near, with ambergris adding warmth. It is simplicity as luxury. Nothing to hide behind, and nothing to hide. Beginner-friendly.
