Composition
A western take on rose-oud from the Arabian Nights collection by Alberto Morillas. Lemon, cardamom and coriander open into Bulgarian rose, geranium, cypress and davana, anchored by agarwood oud, musk, rum, incense and patchouli.
To me this smells like a rose garden next to a campfire in the desert — lemon and cardamom sparking first, then Bulgarian rose blooming dark and velvety through geranium and cypress. The agarwood oud is the foundation: deep, woody, faintly smoky, with musk softening it like cloth over stone, and rum and incense curling through like dusk smoke. A western hand writing in an eastern script. Rich, dark, and not for the faint of heart. Not for beginners — beginners stay away.
