Composition
Musiqa Oud is an oriental-woody extrait composed by Jorge Lee. It opens with grapefruit, amyris and cypriol oil, reveals agarwood, saffron and amber in the heart, and settles into guaiac wood, sandalwood and oakmoss.
This is oud chips on hot coal — no metaphors needed, no softening. Grapefruit and amyris first, bright and almost shocking against what's coming, cypriol adding dry earthiness. Then the oud: agarwood, deep and resinous and animalic, rising like smoke that gets in your clothes and stays for days. Saffron and amber gild the smoke; guaiac, sandalwood, and oakmoss in the base turn it into charred wood and forest floor. It smells like the real thing because it is reaching for the real thing — uncompromising, meditative, and not remotely interested in your comfort. Not for beginners — beginners stay away.
