Scent story

To me this smells like a spell being cast in a Paris apartment in 1978 — and the spell is working. Cassis and raspberry and bergamot, dark berries with claws; galbanum green and dangerous; honey poured over everything, thick and golden. Bulgarian rose and tuberose and jasmine bloom like flowers in a haunted greenhouse. And then the animal: civet, musky and feral, with incense and myrrh and ambergris smouldering underneath. Oakmoss and patchouli and vetiver, dark as forest floor. It's black magic in the most literal sense — beautiful, terrifying, utterly unrepeatable. They broke the mould. Not for beginners — beginners stay away.
