Composition
Les Heures de Cartier: L'Heure Convoitée II is a floral fragrance for women launched in 2011 by Mathilde Laurent. It opens with fresh carnation and iris before notes of strawberry sweeten the composition into a romantic eau de parfum. Key notes include carnation, strawberry, iris, clove and powdery notes.
To me this smells like a vintage powder compact found in your grandmother's almirah — carnation and clove, spicy-sweet and old-world, with a strawberry tucked inside like a secret. The iris turns everything to velvet dust, red rose blooming through the powder like ink through blotting paper. Amber and musk warm the base until it smells like skin after a whole day in a silk saree. It is romantic in a letter-writing, slow-dance way — nostalgia you can wear. Beginner-friendly.
