Composition
Launched in 2016 in the Le Gemme Men collection, composed by Jacques Cavallier. Geranium opens over lavender, with oakmoss, musk and guaiac wood in the base. A green, mossy aromatic.
To me this smells like a gentleman's barbershop in the hills — geranium and lavender in the first breath, clean and herbal, like the moment the hot towel comes off your face. There is something cool and composed about it, a little old-school. Then oakmoss and guaiac wood darken it — damp stone, dark timber, the bottom drawer of an old oak dresser — with soft musk rounding the edges. It is restrained and masculine in the classic sense, like good manners. Beginner-friendly.
