Composition
Jil Sander Man I, also known as Man Pure, is the original 1981 woody chypre for men, sold as an Eau de Toilette. Herbal basil, clary sage and oregano open over patchouli, cinnamon and carnation, with a deep animalic base of castoreum, oakmoss and labdanum. Intense, spicy and classically masculine, now a vintage collector's item.

Independence note: “House claims X%” is the brand’s own marketing. “Scentarchy lab” scores are currently estimates from note overlap and community signals — no blind-panel tests completed yet. Dupes are listed under their own names; “inspired by” lines are editorial, not affiliation. Methodology →
